I have seen a number of psychiatrists spanning a 30 year period but Dr Slaney is the best in every respect. He listened to me, gave me time, openly discussed the care plan he wished to adopt and was very happy to answer all my questions about it. He immediately put me at ease. I feel so safe in his care and really can't recommend him highly enough. I feel so relieved to have found someone who really cares and who I instantly trusted. A truly top doctor who you just know understands what you are going through. His PA also deserves a mention as she is such a warm, kindly and helpful lady. I feel so lucky to have found them both.

Dr Slaney is very kind and patient with a down to earth approach and a ready sense of humour. Most of all, I completely trust him which enables me to feel comfortable and talk freely. For many years I’ve suffered from panic attacks and been under the care of different psychiatrists. Dr Slaney has helped me more than anyone and I’m lucky to be his patient.

Dr Slaney has been treating me for Bi-Polar Disorder. I could not recommend him highly enough. His has such a wealth of knowledge, and his passion for his work just shines through. I have always felt completely involved in my care plan, and his support has enabled me to manage my condition and get my life back again. I have not always had a positive previous experience of mental health care, so can find it hard to trust professionals. However, Dr Slaney immediately puts me at ease through his genuine warmth, compassion and understanding and also through his excellent sense of humour. I have felt able to open up and talk to him about very painful and sensitive issues, and that has enabled me to really move forward now with optimism. He has supported me through some very black times, and that has given me the confidence to believe that however hard things might get again in the future, I will get through it. He also has a brilliant secretary, who is so approachable, kind and highly organised, and they make a really great team. I wish I had found Dr Slaney years ago, and hold him in extremely high regard.

Dr Slaney is the first person who has truly understood how I am feeling. He listened and took action where no one else would, which has probably saved my life. He is the only person who I have been able to trust and be honest with how I really feel. Always runs on time but never made to feel rushed or pushed out the door.
